Listening to any of the potential Republican nominees on the issues of security within the country would have you believing the only major issue facing the American population is Islamic Extremists. While Islamic extremist groups like ISIS do pose huge security risks, there is another continuously growing threat that the republicans will never condemn as terrorism, simply because it will go against the values they want Americans to have. I am Obviously talking about Right Wing and Christian acts of terrorism. The scariest thing about these groups and their supporters is how like ISIS they are. They seek to force other people in a country to have the same religious and political beliefs as them. When people do not they resort to violence to remove the threat to their ways.
Planned Parenthood is often a sight for these attacks, because of the negative view a majority of Christians have on abortion services. So the attempted bombings, shootings and attacks on doctors working there continuously growing is no surprise. What is a surprise is the amount of people who believe that the government should hold a religious belief and place strict laws regarding the rights to abortion a woman may have. Another group facing the attacks are moderate Muslims. Americans are apparently unable to comprehend that not all people from the second biggest religion in the world are not trying to cause war or acts of terrorism. As such mosques have been bombed, people have been attacked for praying or even just walking down the street. Even people who aren’t Muslim but appear to be vaguely Middle Eastern, often Latinos or Indians, are attacked. Christians have gathered around mosques with guns threatening people who belong to this group. Imagine it was the opposite, a group of Muslins stood around a Christian church with gun. The media would have a field day. The current republican frontrunner wants to ban all Muslims from entering the country, not people from at risk countries, but the Muslims a religious group. We are creating this exclusivity that targets these people, attacks them and it will only lead to more of them hating America, hating Christian, Hating us Why do we allow for them to be treated this way, a good people, as good Christians what part of the bible told you to spit on the outsiders and push them away. This treatment will only encourage more people to become extremists to defend themselves and their people against the violent acts of other groups. But because this is violence against the “other” that we are rallying against it will not be herd, it will not be seen, and it will be quietly accepted and ignored.
